There are myriad reasons why you should dress well every day, no matter what you're doing or where you're going. Nobody likes waking up early and having to plan a cute outfit, especially when all you want to do is put pajamas on and curl back into bed. But dressing well can be so rewarding and really change your day and mood. Here are some excellent reasons why to dress well, explaining why you should but put in the extra effort to look your best every day.

1. IT MAKES A GOOD IMPRESSION

Making a good impression is always important, and it's one of the best reasons why to dress well too. When you look good, people notice. If you meet someone in sweatpants, they will just assume you were too lazy to get dressed up. But if you meet someone in a cute outfit that expresses who you are, they will notice the effort you put into making yourself presentable.

2. IT WILL GIVE YOU CONFIDENCE

Nothing feels better than walking down the street in an outfit that makes you feel awesome. A cute outfit might be just the confidence boost you need to take on the day. And when you feel awesome in an outfit, a sidewalk feels more like a catwalk.

3. GETTING COMPLIMENTS ON YOUR OUTFIT FEELS AWESOME

Going along with a confidence boost, nothing gives you that satisfactory feeling like being complimented on your outfit. As soon as I get a compliment on my outfit, it’s like nothing can ruin my good mood for the rest of the day. And you probably won’t get any compliments on your outfit if you are wearing sweatpants.

4. YOU NEVER KNOW WHO YOU WILL RUN INTO

Worse case scenario: you are running around town in sweatpants and UGGs and you see your ex-boyfriend with his new beautiful girlfriend. Can you say uncomfortable? Now image that same scenario, but instead of sweatpants, you are wearing a cute outfit that makes you feel amazing. Whether it’s an ex or a cute new boy, you never know who you will run into. So it never hurts to always look your best. Feeling good about yourself is an excellent reason to dress well.

5. YOU CAN EXPRESS YOURSELF

One of best ways to express yourself is through what you wear. It can reflect your mood, your style, maybe even your taste in music. So why limit yourself to wearing something boring and bland when you can show everyone who you really are and wear something that expresses you?

6. IT WILL BOOST CREATIVITY

When you are putting together an outfit, there are so many options that you can’t help being creative. Trying a new outfit or adding a new accessory can really help get those creative juices flowing. An outfit can even be some awesome creative inspiration for a new project you want to take on.

7. IT WILL KEEP YOU PRODUCTIVE

It is so easy to fall asleep or feel lazy when lounging around in a pair of sweatpants and a sweatshirt. But when you are dressed to impress, you will be more motivated to get work done. So if you ever have a big day ahead of you, get dressed up and you won’t be able to help but be productive. A big boost in productivity? Just another reason to dress well.

8. YOU DESERVE TO FEEL FABULOUS

Why should you save dressing up for special occasions? You deserve to look great every day of the year. Don’t save all of your favorite outfits for a few occasions. Treat every day like a special occasion and break out your favorite outfit every day!

9. IT WILL HELP YOU STAND OUT

I go to a school where we have an unofficial uniform of a North face and UGGs. So dressing up really does help me stand out. When you express yourself and dress up, it really does make you stand out against everyone who doesn’t put in the effort.

10. BECAUSE IT IS FUN!

When I was little, I loved to play dress up with my mom's clothes. It made me feel older and glamorous. Now that I am older, dressing up is still just as fun. Putting together a new outfit that I feel confident and fabulous in is my idea of a great time.

Who among us hasn’t bought something that they didn't necessary need, in order to cheer up?  Sometimes when we're stressed out, we decide to shop to distract us from our problems; that is what we call ‘retail therapy’. Retail therapy is when we purchase things to make us feel better, at least temporarily. Women are more likely to buy clothing, accessories and purses, while men are more likely to buy food, when they are stressed out.

Relaxation and Escape:

Why do women shop? Women face a lot of difficulties in their lives that affect their daily moods. Having a bad day at work, getting bad news or breaking up with their boyfriends can lead to shopping. We tend to distract ourselves from our problems by shopping , making everything better. It is true that money cannot buy happiness, but it buys retail happiness. Sadness is a negative emotion and if you did not deal with sadness correctly, it will affect the outcome of one’s life, as it makes it more likely that sadness leads to depression.
