Shop for your happiness

Who among us hasn’t bought something that they didn't necessary need, in order to cheer up?  Sometimes when we're stressed out, we decide to shop to distract us from our problems; that is what we call ‘retail therapy’. Retail therapy is when we purchase things to make us feel better, at least temporarily. Women are more likely to buy clothing, accessories and purses, while men are more likely to buy food, when they are stressed out.

Relaxation and Escape:

Why do women shop? Women face a lot of difficulties in their lives that affect their daily moods. Having a bad day at work, getting bad news or breaking up with their boyfriends can lead to shopping. We tend to distract ourselves from our problems by shopping , making everything better. It is true that money cannot buy happiness, but it buys retail happiness. Sadness is a negative emotion and if you did not deal with sadness correctly, it will affect the outcome of one’s life, as it makes it more likely that sadness leads to depression.
